Geospatial Engineer

Salary: £36,000 - 62,000 per year

Requirements

• Technical experience in geospatial applications (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online/Portal, QGIS)
• Experience in spatial data processing, management, and assurance across large or complex projects
• Proficiency in automation and scripting (FME, Python, SQL, Arcade, ModelBuilder)
• Knowledge of spatial data governance, schemas, metadata, and structured delivery within project environments
• Experience in BIM/GIS integration, digital delivery workflows, or common data environments
• Ability to translate business or engineering needs into meaningful maps and spatial insights
• Strong time, task, and project management skills to deliver work to deadlines
• Understanding of spatial data structures, validation, and quality assurance processes
• Confidence working independently within established workflows
• Excellent written and verbal communication of technical concepts
• Collaborative mindset and sensitivity to both internal and external client needs
• Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging digital and geospatial technologies
• An undergraduate or masters degree in a relevant subject (e.g. GIS, Remote Sensing/Earth Observation, Geography, Geoinformatics, Environmental Science) or equivalent industry experience with at least 3 years in the consultancy sector

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality geospatial analysis and develop spatial models
• Produce compelling visualisations for multidisciplinary teams
• Advise teams on the effective use of geospatial information
• Manage spatial datasets and integrate them with wider project data
• Contribute to evidence-based recommendations for clients
