Network Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• We require 3+ years of experience in network administration or engineering.
• We require strong knowledge of routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
• We require hands-on experience with firewalls, load balancers, and monitoring tools.
• We require familiarity with cloud networking, ideally AWS.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.
• We require a problem-solving mindset with strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• We monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain network hardware, software, and connections to ensure optimal performance.
• We configure and deploy switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers in line with architecture standards.
• We work with architects, security, and cloud teams to implement integrated, secure, and scalable solutions.
• We identify and resolve network bottlenecks, improve efficiency, and ensure high availability.
• We maintain detailed network diagrams, runbooks, and configuration standards.
• We support enforcement of security protocols, patch management, and compliance with global frameworks.
• We stay current on emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to network design and operations.
