Salary: £130,446 - 130,446 per year

Requirements

• We require a live SC level security clearance.
• We are looking for proven experience as an AWS Technical Architect or Cloud Architect.
• We require strong knowledge of AWS infrastructure, networking, and security.
• We require hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• We require experience with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and Landing Zone implementations.
• We require CI/CD experience using tools such as GitHub Actions.
• We require knowledge of OAuth2, SAML 2.0, and OIDC.
• We require scripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• We would value experience with EKS, ECS, and ECR.
• We would value experience working in public sector or other regulated environments.
• AWS Professional or Specialty certifications would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• We design secure, scalable, and resilient AWS architectures.
• We lead AWS Landing Zone and Control Tower implementations.
• We drive Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code and DevOps automation.
• We design AWS networking solutions including Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, and hybrid connectivity.
• We implement AWS security best practices across IAM, encryption, and compliance.
• We support cloud migration, CI/CD, monitoring, and operational excellence.
• We provide technical leadership across engineering and operations teams.
• We work closely with CloudOps, DevOps, engineering teams, and customer stakeholders to deliver secure AWS solutions.

We are supporting a large-scale cloud transformation programme delivering secure, scalable, and enterprise-grade AWS platforms. This is a hands-on architecture role for a UK-based remote contractor on a 6-month engagement, with rates depending on IR35 status. The work will be delivered within highly regulated environments, and we are looking for someone who can collaborate effectively across technical teams and customer stakeholders to help design and deliver robust AWS solutions.
