Remote DevSecOps Engineer

Salary: £57,000 - 97,000 per year

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a systems administrator or software developer, or both
• Expert knowledge of cloud security
• Passion for DevSecOps and knowledge of Terraform, Bicep, Sonar Cloud, Wiz, and security tools such as Trivy
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Microsoft Azure
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and practices
• Ability to perform rapid risk assessment and threat modeling
• Experience with Azure security monitoring, including Application Insights and SIEM
• Excellent communication skills to support stakeholder alignment and successful outcomes across product delivery and ongoing support

Responsibilities

• Work as a lead, hands-on software security engineer with a development background
• Support developers by building security into their daily work and helping shift security left
• Develop and continue to grow the software security function within the company
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively across functions
• Automate and streamline security processes without compromising quality or overall security
• Contribute to product delivery and ongoing support
• Help shape and grow the team as the company matures

We are a fast-growing company based in Central London, and this role will mainly be remote. We have a Microsoft-focused technology environment and are looking for someone with a strong Azure background and a development mindset to work closely with our developers. This is a hands-on lead role that was introduced successfully two years ago, and we are now looking for someone to take over, continue building the function, and help it grow. The salary is dependent on experience.
