Lead Cyber Security Engineer

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for an established Cyber Engineering Lead or Manager with at least 5 years of engineering leadership experience.
• We need someone who has led, managed, coached, and built engineering teams, and who is confident acting as the definitive technical point of escalation.
• We require deep offensive security expertise, including a strong understanding of adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• We are seeking experience building and deploying offensive security solutions such as vulnerability research, red teaming, or large-scale security data processing.
• We need extensive experience architecting and scaling complex, cloud-native systems for intensive data processing and real-time threat analysis at internet-wide scale.
• We require highly proficient programming skills in Python and Go, with the ability to write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
• We value a proactive, ownership-driven mindset, ideally supported by open-source contributions or success in capture the flag (CTF) competitions.
• We are looking for experience in fast-moving start-up or scale-up environments, ideally within an early-stage, enterprise-focused B2B business.
• We want someone comfortable adapting to shifting priorities in a fluid, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• We will partner with our Global Head of Labs Engineering to define the future direction of our Cyber Engineering function and maintain global technical consistency.
• We will expect you to design, develop, and maintain highly scalable offensive security infrastructure that powers our core platform.
• We need you to ensure seamless processing of vast datasets to identify enterprise vulnerabilities at scale.
• We will rely on you to mentor and lead cyber engineering teams across the UK, Ireland, and APAC.
• We expect you to act as a line manager, owning performance reviews, career development, and day-to-day coaching.
• We want you to drive advanced R&D projects that replicate sophisticated adversary tactics at internet-wide scale.
• We need you to provide high-fidelity insights that help our clients neutralise vulnerabilities before adversaries strike.
• We expect you to collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Front-End, Backend, and Platform teams to align cyber security initiatives with business goals.
