Mobile Security Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements

• Experience in mobile platform security, threat modelling and mitigation techniques
• Ability to conduct regular reviews of our mobile application security posture using hands-on experience
• Experience developing and maintaining pen-testing security tools, scripts, policies and procedures
• In-depth knowledge of mobile app security standards for Android and iOS
• Familiarity with mobile development, DevSecOps tooling, testing and automation frameworks
• Deep knowledge and experience using mobile security tools
• Good understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, and cryptography patterns
• Experience proactively researching new technologies emerging in the security landscape

Responsibilities

• Design, build and ship new features and enhancements for our Android applications, from technical design through to production release
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested Kotlin code, participate in peer code reviews and uphold engineering standards across the codebase
• Contribute to the evolution of the application architecture, ensuring the codebase remains modular, scalable and easy to work in
• Profile, benchmark and optimise the application for responsiveness, battery efficiency and stability across a wide range of devices and OS versions
• Work closely with product owners, designers, backend engineers and QA to deliver polished, well-integrated user experiences
• Build and maintain unit and UI test coverage, support CI/CD pipelines and contribute to reliable, frequent releases through the Play Store
• Keep abreast of new Android technologies, libraries and best practices, and champion their adoption where they add value
