Requirements

• We are looking for a hands-on Azure DevOps Engineer with a strong security focus (DevSecOps).
• We need someone who can design, implement, and scale secure cloud infrastructure with minimal supervision.
• We are looking for someone with experience delivering production-grade solutions using Terraform through CI/CD pipelines.
• We need a candidate who can build reusable, well-structured Terraform modules.
• We are looking for someone with strong experience embedding security controls across platforms, pipelines, and identity systems.
• We need someone with experience in a modern Azure environment.
• We are looking for someone who can take ownership of security engineering initiatives.
• We need someone able to work fully remote on a UK-based contract.
• We need someone available for an initial 6-month contract.

Responsibilities

• We will have you design and deploy perimeter protection using Azure Front Door with WAF policies, including OWASP Top 10 and bot protection.
• We will have you analyse traffic, tune WAF rules, and work with stakeholders to reduce false positives.
• We will have you define and enforce governance through Azure Policy, particularly around firewall and network security standards.
• We will have you implement container security practices, including scanning for AKS workloads.
• We will have you migrate from basic security defaults to advanced Conditional Access policies in Microsoft Entra ID.
• We will have you drive the rollout of identity protections, including phishing-resistant MFA and risky sign-in policies, using Entra ID P2 capabilities.
• We will have you secure CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps through managed identities and network restrictions.
• We will have you monitor and respond to risks identified in Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
• We will have you work across our Azure estate to embed security controls into infrastructure, pipelines, and identity systems.
