Remote Customer Engineering Lead

Salary: £51,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements

• Experience working in a similar customer engineering or FAE role
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical details and workaround, update, and upgrade pathways
• Experience in at least one relevant technical discipline, such as software development, embedded software or firmware development, ASIC implementation, or RTL development, integration, or verification
• Highly desirable: proven track record configuring, optimising, and managing issue tracking and customer delivery systems such as Jira Service Management or SFTPgo
• Desirable: direct experience integrating, implementing, or using cryptographic IP in an ASIC, FPGA, or software stack
• Excellent empathetic skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Curiosity and a desire to break things

Responsibilities

• Manage customer issues in line with contracted SLAs
• Maintain our reputation for technical excellence and engineering support
• Handle post-delivery communication between engineering and customers
• Develop fixes and workarounds for issues in collaboration with the engineering team
• Work with the engineering team to identify and holistically fix recurring or systematic issues at the root cause
• Work with test assets such as FPGAs, simulation environments, and customer platforms
• Act as a friendly customer to stress-test production IP and proactively uncover quirks and flaws
• Travel occasionally to customer premises as required
