About the Role Our client, a visionary company at the forefront of aviation innovation, is seeking an experienced Lead Aerospace Systems Architect to join their high-performing, **fully remote** team.

This critical role will define and guide the architectural vision for next-generation aerospace systems, ensuring their scalability, robustness, and integration capabilities.

You will collaborate with diverse engineering teams, translating complex requirements into comprehensive system designs. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in systems engineering, a deep understanding of aviation technologies, and strong leadership qualities.

This **fully remote** position offers the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US while contributing to groundbreaking projects that will shape the future of flight. Key Responsibilities Define, develop, and maintain the architectural blueprint for complex aerospace systems.

Lead the decomposition of high-level requirements into detailed system, subsystem, and component specifications. Design system interfaces and data flows, ensuring seamless interoperability between various components.

Conduct architectural trade studies to evaluate different design options and technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams (software, hardware, mechanical, etc.) to ensure alignment with the overall system architecture.

Identify and mitigate architectural risks and dependencies. Develop and present architectural documentation, including system architecture descriptions, interface control documents, and technology roadmaps.

Mentor and guide other systems engineers in architectural design principles and best practices. Requirements Master's degree or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

A minimum of 10 years of experience in aerospace systems engineering, with a significant focus on architecture definition and development. Proven experience designing and architecting complex aerospace systems (e.g., aircraft, spacecraft, UAS).

In-depth knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and related tools (e.g., SysML, Cameo). Familiarity with various aerospace subsystems, including avionics, propulsion, structures, and software. Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, essential for leading a remote team. Demonstrated leadership capabilities in a technical environment.
