Requirements
- We need someone with 8+ years of experience at the intersection of technology and power, in policy, governance, geopolitical analysis, or institutional strategy.
- We need deep command of emerging and frontier technology governance debates, including AI, platform regulation, data sovereignty, digital infrastructure, and government industrial and development policy.
- We need strong existing networks in at least one major policy corridor such as Brussels, Geneva, or London, and reach into global majority contexts including Sub-Saharan Africa, the Gulf, East Asia, and Latin America.
- We need fluency in institutional dynamics across governments, multilaterals, foundations, and technology organizations.
- We need experience advising senior leadership before high-stakes engagements.
- We need sharp written communication under pressure and the ability to produce clear, opinionated, useful briefings.
- We need experience designing or building intelligence systems that integrate multiple data sources across technical platforms, including Salesforce and dashboard or network mapping tools.
- We value a technical, developer, or platform-oriented background.
- We are especially interested in experience building intelligence practices, briefing systems, or knowledge infrastructure that help an organization compound insight over time.
- We are especially interested in fluency across both policy and communications contexts.
- We are especially interested in experience supporting senior leaders through major global convenings or multilateral engagements.
Responsibilities
- We will have you build and stabilize our field intelligence function, including landscape briefs, stakeholder maps, signal memos, and CRM practices.
- We will have you establish strong briefing and pre-briefing rhythms for our VP, ED, and senior leadership ahead of high-stakes engagements.
- We will have you produce actionable intelligence on shifts across emerging and frontier technology governance landscapes and translate those shifts into strategy.
- We will have you prepare our positioning, leadership readiness, and intelligence outcomes for major international convenings and multilateral moments.
- We will have you strengthen the systems and practices that ensure field relationships, intelligence, and strategic context become institutional knowledge.
- We will have you serve as the connective intelligence layer across our work, tracking field developments and identifying where signals in one workstream should inform another.
- We will have you maintain our field intelligence function and keep ecosystem movements and institutional positioning visible, usable, and compounding across the team.
- We will have you identify and shape intersections between our work and national and multilateral technology agendas, and help pipeline the government and institutional partnerships that follow.
- We will have you partner with our Technology Platforms team to design and maintain intelligence infrastructure, including CRM-based network mapping, signal tracking dashboards, and knowledge management systems.
- We will have you track and synthesize shifts across AI, data agency, digital infrastructure, and government industrial and development policy, and turn them into actionable intelligence.
- We will have you produce shareable intelligence artifacts with our Strategic Communications team that translate our field read into external positioning.
- We will have you ensure our field intelligence reflects global contexts beyond the U.S. and Europe.
- We will have you lead our preparation for and presence at major international convenings, including UNGA, flagship AI Summits, and multilateral institutional engagements.
- We will have you ensure we leave key moments having shifted a narrative, converted a key relationship, or surfaced intelligence not visible from outside the room.
- We will have you build and maintain knowledge management systems so relevant relationships, intelligence, and strategic context accumulate across the Foundation and pan-Mozilla entities.
