Technical Lead Engineer (Full Stack)

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements

• 8 years of experience in software engineering
• Proven track record of leading technical initiatives and mentoring others
• Deep expertise in Vue.js and modern frontend development
• Strong backend experience in Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem (Data, Security, MVC)
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, SQL/database design, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS
• Strong problem-solver and critical thinker
• Comfortable working from broad requirements
• Security-first mindset; background in cybersecurity is a significant advantage

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of new features across the full stack
• Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of solutions
• Translate high-level requirements into clear technical solutions
• Work closely with product and engineering teams
• Act as a bridge between Java/Spring backend and Vue.js frontend
• Take ownership of feature development from concept to delivery
• Maintain architectural consistency and drive best practices across the team
• Mentor junior engineers to elevate overall technical capability

This role includes flexible working arrangements and the opportunity for potential share options. While we prefer candidates from the North West, we are open to fully remote candidates, requiring only one week per quarter in our Manchester office to collaborate with the wider team.
