Data Governance & Access Management Consultant

Salary: £36,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for an experienced consultant with strong Google Cloud Platform (GCP) expertise.
• We need hands-on experience with BigQuery security and access management.
• We require knowledge of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and enterprise data governance.
• We expect experience designing data access policies and governance frameworks.
• We need familiarity with UK GDPR, data privacy, IAM, Cloud Identity, Dataplex or Data Catalog.
• We value experience with data stewardship and operating models.

Responsibilities

• We will have you design and implement governance frameworks for our modern BigQuery environment.
• We will ask you to enable secure, compliant and scalable self-service analytics across the organisation.
• We will have you combine strategic governance design with hands-on implementation.
• We will expect you to work closely with data, security, compliance and business stakeholders.
• We will rely on you to improve our data access, ownership and governance processes.

We are supporting a major Google Cloud data transformation programme and are offering a 6-month hybrid contract based in Kent with two days per week onsite. This is an excellent day-rate opportunity for an experienced consultant to help shape secure and scalable analytics governance in a modern BigQuery environment. We work closely with multiple stakeholders across data, security, compliance and the wider business to strengthen our governance and access management practices.
