Backend Software Engineer (Python, ML, AWS)

Salary: £90,000 - 90,000 per year

Requirements

• Advanced Python coding skills
• Experience across the full lifecycle of ML model development, including production
• Strong knowledge of AWS
• Understanding of modern software engineering best practices, microservices, TDD/DDD, and common Design Patterns
• Collaborative mindset and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with Databricks, PostgreSQL, Amazon RedShift, or MLflow is a plus but not essential

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers on complex insurance underwriting and pricing systems
• Implement Machine Learning algorithms into production systems
• Participate in technical discussions within a collaborative Agile environment
• Mentor junior team members if desired
• Engage in a range of projects focused on enhancing backend systems
