Network Engineer

Salary: £71,500 - 71,500 per year

Requirements

• Experience in network support or engineering roles
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols, and network diagnostics
• Experience with Cisco networking equipment, with CCNA-level knowledge
• Exposure to Palo Alto firewalls and/or Cisco ISE for wired and wireless network access control and micro-segmentation
• Experience with fibre and copper cable management, including datacentre clean-ups
• Familiarity with NAC solutions and enterprise network security practices
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support for LAN/WAN infrastructure across multiple sites
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco switches and routers
• Assist with firewall rule changes and basic policy management using Palo Alto or similar platforms
• Support VPN and remote access solutions
• Monitor network performance and respond to alerts using tools such as SolarWinds or PRTG
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations and changes
• Participate in change and incident management processes

We are seeking a Network Engineer to support our public sector client in Bradford on an on-site basis for a 4-month contract. This role is inside IR35 and offers a day rate of £275.
