Cyber Transformation Lead

Salary: £125,000 - 150,000 per year

Requirements

• We require recent experience working in central government.
• We require experience acting as an internal cyber advisor aligned with strategy and organisational objectives.
• We require experience developing, refreshing, and embedding cyber policies, standards, and procedures.
• We require the ability to track adoption and compliance with cyber policies and standards.
• We require experience providing portfolio oversight and RAG reporting.
• We require the ability to escalate and drive remediation of strategic misalignments.
• We require experience leading or coordinating the resolution of complex or high-profile cyber issues.
• We require strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.
• We require experience supporting assurance activities and senior-level incident readiness.
• We require knowledge of statutory obligations including GDPR and relevant non-ONR requirements.

Responsibilities

• We will ask you to accelerate strategic cyber security transformation in support of the Deputy CISO and our Cyber Security and Information Assurance function.
• We will ask you to support the development and implementation of cyber policies and standards.
• We will ask you to uplift our security culture and awareness.
• We will ask you to establish cyber profession standards.
• We will ask you to oversee portfolio alignment to strategy.
• We will ask you to deliver horizon scanning and leadership briefings.
• We will ask you to support assurance activities.
• We will ask you to contribute to senior-level incident readiness.
• We will ask you to lead and coordinate the resolution of complex and high-profile cyber issues.
• We will ask you to facilitate stakeholder engagement and drive remediation of misalignments.

We are recruiting for a Cyber Transformation Lead to support our Cyber Security and Information Assurance function on a contract basis, working two days a week in Warrington and three days remotely. The role is outside IR35. You will join us to help accelerate our strategic cyber security transformation, support the Deputy CISO, and strengthen our cyber policies, standards, culture, assurance, and incident readiness in line with our strategy and statutory obligations.
