Salary: £39,000 - 79,000 per year
Requirements
- Proven professional experience in development, programming, and integration of Housing Management and/or Repairs Management Systems.
- Extensive experience across one or more languages such as SQL, .NET, HTML, Java, XML, C++, C#, PHP, or Python.
- Broad experience with technology solutions including ERP, CRM, ESB, Azure, Cloud, AI, IoT, or RPA.
- Experience with software or technical development delivery approaches such as Waterfall, SDLC, Agile, Scrum, or DevOps.
- Experience analysing business requirements, documenting system design, developing code, unit testing, and deployment.
- Experience delivering within structured development approaches such as Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, or Kanban, using Azure DevOps, JIRA, or equivalent tools.
- Some experience or awareness of platforms such as Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform, SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and Azure.
- Proven people management experience.
- Willingness to learn new technologies, platforms, and programming languages.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and issue resolution skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Educated to Level 2 GCSE grade C+ or 9-4, or equivalent, or higher.
- Desirable: degree-level education in an IT/STEM-related discipline or equivalent.
- Desirable: IT systems development certifications in Microsoft D365 CRM, Azure Integration Services, or equivalent.
- Desirable: APM, PRINCE2, Agile Practitioner, Certified Scrum Master, or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Support all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
- Design, code, configure, install, test, and document applications that support business operations.
- Resolve technically complex or business-critical issues.
- Deliver high-quality solutions consistently.
- Focus on Housing Management and Repairs Management systems, including NEC, AccuServe, DRS, and Active Diagnostics.
- Play a key role in our upcoming repairs systems transformation programme.
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into system design and code.
- Perform unit testing and deployment activities.
- Build strong and effective working relationships across the organisation.

We are the Guinness Partnership, and we are looking for a Senior Systems Developer to join our IT and Business Change team at our Oldham office on a full-time, permanent 35-hour week basis. We work in a hybrid pattern, with 2 days in the office and 3 days remotely each week. This role is central to our Housing Management and Repairs Management systems and will contribute to a significant repairs systems transformation programme.
