IT Infrastructure Engineer / Administrator - Daventry

Salary: £40,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements

• We require strong experience in Microsoft technologies and infrastructure support.
• We require hands-on experience with MS Server administration, including Active Directory, Hyper-V, SQL, clustering, file and print services, and WDS.
• We require experience with M365 administration, including Hybrid Active Directory, Teams, Entra, SharePoint, Exchange, and Intune.
• We require experience managing email services such as Mimecast, M365, Outlook, and Exchange.
• We require experience with backup solutions, ideally Veeam for both local and cloud environments.
• We require experience with endpoint and server patch management tools such as Action1 or similar.
• We require experience with mobile device management and application protection policies.
• We require experience maintaining network security, antivirus processes, and communication systems.
• We require experience with PC and server hardware deployment and maintenance.
• We require experience with network storage and SAN administration.
• We require experience supporting firewalls, routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and internet infrastructure.
• We require proven 3rd line support experience.
• We require the ability to work onsite in Daventry, Northamptonshire two days per week, with three days remote.
• A relevant technical background in IT support, systems administration, systems engineering, or infrastructure engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities

• We will expect you to provide network and desktop IT support within a Microsoft-focused environment.
• We will expect you to administer MS Server services, including Active Directory, Hyper-V, SQL, clustering, file and print, and WDS.
• We will expect you to manage M365 services, including Hybrid Active Directory, Teams, Entra, SharePoint, Exchange, and Intune.
• We will expect you to support and maintain email services across Mimecast, M365, Outlook, and Exchange.
• We will expect you to manage backups using Veeam across local and cloud platforms.
• We will expect you to administer SonicWall Cloud Secure Edge, including M365 integration, user management, and policy management.
• We will expect you to carry out server and desktop patch management.
• We will expect you to support mobile device management and application protection policies.
• We will expect you to maintain network security and antivirus processes.
• We will expect you to deploy and maintain PC and server hardware.
• We will expect you to manage network storage, primarily SAN environments.
• We will expect you to maintain communication systems, including firewalls, routers, switches, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity.
• We will expect you to provide 3rd line level support to resolve complex technical issues.

This is a Microsoft-focused infrastructure role offering a salary of 35,000 to 50,000 plus excellent benefits, with a hybrid working pattern of two days onsite and three days remote per week.
