Infrastructure Engineer

Salary: £55,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for strong hands-on experience managing Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy and core Microsoft services.
• We require proven Microsoft 365 administration experience, including tenant setup, SharePoint, OneDrive and security management.
• We are looking for experience with Microsoft security technologies such as Entra ID, Intune, Defender, endpoint security and access controls.
• We need solid networking knowledge, including firewall configuration, switch management, VPNs, TCP/IP and VLANs.
• We require experience monitoring, troubleshooting and optimising infrastructure performance to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
• We are looking for proven ability to create and maintain PowerShell scripts and deliver clear technical documentation.
• We require relevant Microsoft qualifications, ideally equivalent to M365, MCSA or higher.
• Desirable: CCNA or equivalent networking certification.
• Desirable: experience with Linux server administration, AWS or other cloud environments, container technologies, SAN storage or database platforms.
• Desirable: experience working with virtualised environments, Dell server hardware or enterprise monitoring and logging tools.

Responsibilities

• We will manage and maintain our infrastructure, including servers, networks, security controls and endpoint technology.
• We will support and develop Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Remote Desktop Services and core business systems.
• We will help strengthen network resilience through patching, monitoring, vulnerability management, disaster recovery testing and security best practice.
• We will work closely with our Head of IT, Information Security and wider stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable IT services.
• We will drive continuous improvement across infrastructure performance, security and documentation.
