Requirements

• We require active SC clearance.
• We need strong hands-on experience with VMware Aria Operations and Aria Operations for Networks.
• We need experience customising alerts, metrics, dashboards and reports for operational and technical teams.
• We need a strong understanding of NSX and core networking concepts.
• We need experience in infrastructure monitoring, alerting and observability solutions.
• We need knowledge of capacity management and performance tuning.
• We need experience integrating network and infrastructure devices using protocols such as SNMP and ICMP.
• We need previous experience working within secure or highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• We will design and develop Aria Operations alerts, metrics, dashboards and reports.
• We will configure VMware Aria Operations and Aria Operations for Networks with customised monitoring policies and alerting.
• We will integrate infrastructure and network devices including hardware, virtual machines, storage platforms, switches, routers and firewalls.
• We will configure performance monitoring, capacity planning and observability solutions.
• We will enable network flow visibility and dependency mapping.
• We will tune alerts to reduce noise and improve operational effectiveness.
• We will develop dashboards and reporting for operational, infrastructure, network and security teams.
• We will support troubleshooting activities and root cause analysis.
• We will produce technical documentation, runbooks and knowledge transfer materials.

We are seeking an experienced VMware Aria Operations SME to support a major programme focused on enhancing infrastructure and network observability within a secure environment. This is a hybrid role based in Warwick (CV34 6DA), with predominantly remote working, and is expected to run for 3 months at a rate of £537 per day via umbrella. This role offers an excellent opportunity to play a key part in designing, configuring and optimising monitoring solutions across a complex enterprise estate.
