Data Centre Network Lead

Salary: £60,000 - 72,000 per year

Requirements

• Strong background in network design for large-scale data centres
• Experience building and reading network topologies
• Skilled in P2P mapping and port-to-port connectivity planning
• Comfortable working with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and calculating cable lengths
• Previous exposure to Infiniband or similar high-performance networking technologies is highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Develop and review network topologies for new builds and expansions
• Work with Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate network planning
• Build P2P/port-to-port connectivity maps for cabling and network infrastructure
• Calculate cable lengths and plan cabling routes based on P2P maps
• Provide technical governance and input during planning and implementation
• Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and customer stakeholders
• Support senior discussions and design sign-off
