Enterprise Architect - Peterborough

Salary: £70,000 - 80,000 per year

Requirements

• Experience in Enterprise Architecture or a comparable senior architecture capacity.
• A track record of simplifying technology estates and reducing technical debt.
• Strong knowledge across cloud, SaaS, integration, platforms and infrastructure.
• Experience working within modern Microsoft and Azure environments.
• An understanding of API-led and event-driven architecture principles.
• The ability to influence delivery teams and business stakeholders through collaboration rather than control.

Responsibilities

• Establish the architectural principles, standards and target-state roadmaps that underpin our future technology strategy.
• Work closely with technical teams and senior stakeholders to create practical guardrails that enable innovation while balancing security, resilience, operational effectiveness and cost.
• Bring clarity, direction and consistency to a complex technology landscape.
• Help delivery teams move with confidence.
• Build architectural capability and governance from the ground up.
• Shape long-term strategy while staying close enough to delivery to make an impact.
• Influence delivery teams and business stakeholders through collaboration rather than control.

We are partnering with one of the UKs most recognised charities as they undertake a major Digital, Data and Technology transformation. We are investing heavily in modernising our technology estate, introducing product-led ways of working and building the foundations for long-term digital success. This is a brand-new Enterprise Architect position created to help define the future direction of technology across our organisation. The role is remote first with 1-2 days per month in Peterborough, and it offers the chance to join at the beginning of a transformation journey, shape governance and strategy, and leave a lasting legacy within a charity that has a meaningful impact on peoples lives every day.
