Work Location: Dallas USA Customer Name : Amazon Subcon or FTE : FTE Preferred location - Dallas USA Preferred location - Dallas USA Principal Terraform Architect. - 1Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Principal Terraform Architect to lead the design, development, governance, and optimization of enterprise-scale Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions on AWS.
The architect will own the Terraform module strategy, establish reusable cloud patterns, drive architecture decisions, and enable large-scale cloud migration and modernization programs through automation and standardization.
Key ResponsibilitiesTerraform Architecture & Strategy Define and govern the enterprise Terraform module library strategy. Design reusable, scalable, and secure infrastructure patterns across AWS services.
Establish Terraform standards, naming conventions, tagging frameworks, and module development guidelines. Maintain compatibility with Terraform (v1.5+) and AWS Provider (v5.x+).
Pattern Development & Governance Create and review reusable infrastructure patterns for: Compute (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, ASGs) Networking (VPC, Transit Gateway, Route53, ALB/NLB, CloudFront) Storage (S3, EFS, FSx, EBS) Databases (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, DocumentDB) Security (IAM, KMS, Security Groups, WAF, GuardDuty) Monitoring (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana) Governance (AFT, SCPs, Permission Boundaries) CI/CD and Containers Platform Engineering & Automation Lead GitOps-based Terraform delivery pipelines.
Define CI/CD standards incorporating: Terraform validation TFLint, Tfsec, Checkov Terratest / terraform-compliance Cost estimation (Infracost) Sentinel / OPA policy enforcement Drift detection and remediation practices Architect Terraform state management strategy using S3 and DynamoDB.
Technical Leadership Conduct architecture reviews and code reviews. Mentor Terraform engineers and platform teams. Drive design decisions and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs). Ensure modules follow HashiCorp best practices and enterprise governance requirements.
Migration Team Enablement Support cloud migration teams in adopting Terraform patterns. Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting support, PR reviews, and customization recommendations. Collaborate with platform, security, and cloud engineering teams.
Continuous Improvement Optimize existing modules and patterns for: Performance Security Cost efficiency Operational scalability Required QualificationsExperience 15+ years of IT and cloud engineering experience. 6+ years of enterprise-scale Terraform architecture experience.
Proven experience building and governing Terraform module libraries with 500+ modules and 1000+ cloud resources. Extensive AWS architecture and multi-account governance experience.
Technical Skills Terraform (HCL), Terraform Cloud/Enterprise AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, EKS, ECS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch GitOps and CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CodePipeline, ArgoCD) Sentinel and OPA policy-as-code AWS Control Tower and Account Factory for Terraform (AFT) Terratest, TFLint, Tfsec, Checkov AWS Secrets Manager and Parameter Store Multi-account Terraform state management Certifications HashiCorp Terraform Associate (preferred) AWS Solutions Architect Professional Additional AWS advanced certifications preferred Preferred Qualifications Terraform Cloud/Enterprise administration.
Large-scale FinOps and Infracost implementation. Experience supporting regulated or telecom environments. Experience managing 100+ AWS accounts. Strong architectural documentation and governance experience.

Senior Terraform Engineer -1 Role Overview We are seeking highly skilled Senior Terraform Engineers to develop, maintain, and enhance reusable Terraform modules and infrastructure patterns that accelerate AWS cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
The role will focus on module development, automation, testing, governance implementation, and migration team enablement. Key ResponsibilitiesTerraform Module Development Design, develop, and maintain reusable Terraform modules and compositions.
Build AWS infrastructure patterns covering: Compute Networking Storage Databases Security Monitoring Governance Containers Migration tooling Infrastructure Automation Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and AWS best practices.
Develop higher-order compositions such as: Landing Zones Workload Accounts Network Hubs Shared Services Platforms CI/CD & GitOps Build and manage GitOps workflows for infrastructure deployments.
Configure automated: Terraform plan and apply workflows Linting and validation Security scanning Cost estimation Policy validation Drift detection Testing & Quality Assurance Create module-level unit and integration tests.
Implement automated testing using: Terratest Terraform Compliance TFLint Tfsec Checkov Ensure code quality, maintainability, and backward compatibility. Terraform State & Governance Support remote state management using S3 and DynamoDB.
Maintain workspace strategies and multi-account deployments. Enforce naming conventions, tagging standards, and policy controls. Documentation & Enablement Develop module documentation and usage guides. Produce example implementations and runbooks.
Assist migration teams with: Pattern adoption Troubleshooting Pull Request reviews Customization support Continuous Improvement Optimize Terraform patterns for: Cost reduction Operational efficiency Security compliance Performance improvements Required QualificationsExperience 10+ years of cloud infrastructure and automation experience. 4+ years of hands-on Terraform development experience.
Strong AWS implementation experience in enterprise environments. Experience supporting large-scale cloud transformation initiatives.
