Requirements
- Experience delivering high-quality, scalable platform services with a strong foundation in platform engineering.
- Strong capability in infrastructure-as-code and platform tooling, including Terraform, Crossplane, and Helm.
- Experience contributing to platform architecture and cloud-native design, including EKS, GitOps, and self-service patterns.
- Ability to apply test-first approaches and contribute to testing strategies for platform tooling and infrastructure changes.
- Experience improving observability, alerting, and operational practices across platform services.
- Understanding of secure development and infrastructure practices, including least-privilege access and supply chain hygiene.
- Ability to use platform metrics and developer feedback to shape technical decisions.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify cost-efficient infrastructure options.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex platform concepts.
- Ability to work autonomously while supporting peers, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to a psychologically safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, scalable platform services while contributing to infrastructure design, developer experience thinking, and delivery practices.
- Shape architectural decisions and support engineering teams in achieving predictable, value-led delivery.
- Use platform metrics and developer feedback to inform technical decisions and propose improvements.
- Break down large platform initiatives into incremental, testable slices that unlock early learning and value.
- Contribute to accurate estimation and planning, highlighting risks and dependencies.
- Promote agile ways of working and help improve flow and predictability.
- Write maintainable infrastructure-as-code and platform tooling aligned to ENSEK standards.
- Contribute to platform architectural discussions and propose cloud-native design options.
- Improve observability, alerting, and operational practices across platform services.
- Share platform knowledge, contribute to guilds, mentor junior engineers, and help onboard teams onto platform capabilities and golden path tooling.
- Produce golden path documentation so teams can self-serve.
- Champion golden path adoption and uphold ENSEK engineering values.
