Strategic Lead - Transformation

Salary: £26,000 - 28,080 per year

Requirements

• We require in-depth understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing local government, with experience working in this environment.
• We require comprehensive knowledge and practical application of project and programme management and change management methodologies and tools.
• We require excellent leadership, management, and motivational skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a diverse team.
• We require a demonstrable track record of developing and/or delivering large-scale transformation programmes that deliver benefits within a local authority.
• We require proven experience of managing and developing large, high-performing teams of up to 15 FTE.
• We require demonstrable experience of applying recognised project and programme management methodologies such as Prince2, Agile, and MSP, as well as change management frameworks.
• We require a strong ability to translate strategic objectives into practical delivery plans.
• We require the ability to work 3 days per week in London and 2 days remotely.
• We require willingness to work through an umbrella company for the duration of the contract, as the role sits inside IR35.

Responsibilities

• We will support the Assistant Director to develop and implement the overall transformation programme, ensuring alignment with our corporate objectives and national best practice.
• We will provide strategic direction and oversight to a portfolio of transformation projects and programmes.
• We will ensure projects and programmes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• We will champion and embed effective change management methodologies and practices across our organisation.
• We will drive successful adoption and sustainability of transformation outcomes.
• We will help foster a culture of innovation across the client organisation.
• We will translate strategic objectives into practical delivery plans.

We are recruiting for a Strategic Lead to join us on a contract basis, working 3 days a week in London and 2 days remotely. The role sits inside IR35, so it will be necessary to work through an umbrella company for the duration of the contract. We are looking for someone with strong local government experience who can bring strategic leadership to our transformation programme and help us deliver meaningful change across our organisation.
