Senior Software Test Automation Engineer (Remote)

The Panther Group is seeking a Senior Software Test Automation Engineer to support a leading global aerospace and technology organization.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives supporting digital transformation, Model Based Enterprise (MBE), and next-generation software quality solutions. ***Not open to C2C or third party agencies. No Visa sponsorship for this role.

Must be able to get a US Security Clearance if required*** You will join a virtual team focused on enhancing enterprise automation frameworks, building scalable testing solutions, and driving continuous testing within modern DevOps environments.

Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts Enhance enterprise test automation solutions to support strategic business initiatives Build automation keywords, reusable libraries, and scalable test assets Support software test planning, execution, reporting, and defect tracking Upgrade frameworks to current industry standards and best practices Containerize automation solutions using Docker or similar tools Identify and close Continuous Testing (CT) gaps within DevOps pipelines Collaborate with distributed Agile teams to deliver high-quality releases Participate in configuration management and release readiness activities Required Qualifications Hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca (required) Strong software development/coding skills in Java, Python, VBScript, or similar languages Experience with keyword-driven test automation Knowledge of test automation frameworks and enterprise testing tools Experience in test cycle planning, coordination, execution, and reporting Understanding of DevOps methodologies and Agile delivery models Experience with Docker or container orchestration tools Strong written and verbal communication skills Self-starter with excellent organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with multiple testing layers: UI, functional, unit, scalability/performance Experience building CI/CD pipelines in GitLab (preferred) or Jenkins Configuration management experience Strong presentation and stakeholder communication skills Experience working successfully on remote/virtual teams Pay up to $86.97 per hour DOE No Corp-to-Corp No third party Remote Skills: Aerospace and Defense, Agile Modeling, Agile Programming Methodologies, Automation, Automation Engineering, Best Practices, Bug Tracking/Defect Management, Business Support, Communication Skills, Computer Programming, Configuration Management, Continuous Deployment/Delivery, Continuous Integration, DevOps, Docker, Home Automation, Industry Standards, Java, Jenkins, Microsoft VBScript (Visual Basic Script) Scripting Language, Organizational Skills, Presentation/Verbal Skills, Python Programming/Scripting Language, Scalable System Development, Security Clearance, Software Administration, Software Debugging, Software Development, Software Testing, Test Automation, Test Harness, Test Scripts, Test Tools, Testing, Writing Skills About the Company: The Panther Group The Panther Group is minority owned and certified, making diversity, equity and inclusion core components of our mission.
