Technical Support Specialist - Electrical

Salary: £23,000 - 51,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with strong qualifications or background in Electrical Engineering.
• We need experience in technical support and fault diagnosis for production machinery.
• We value previous experience in a technical support role, such as a Field Service Engineer or similar remote support position.
• Experience working with production machinery is preferred, and packaging or pharmaceutical industry experience would be an advantage.
• We require strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis skills with high attention to detail.
• We need excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to provide clear remote support over the phone.

Responsibilities

• We troubleshoot and solve problems after faults or machine breakdowns at customer sites, restoring equipment to full operational efficiency as quickly as possible.
• We act as subject matter experts across our product range, providing technical guidance and hands-on support to our Field Service Engineers on complex issues.
• We coach and mentor Field Service Engineers and Apprentices to improve technical knowledge across the team.
• We support the planning of major projects, upgrades, and installations, and provide remote technical input during installations when needed.
• We provide technical analysis and reports on parts and machine performance to internal departments within our business.
• We liaise with external customers and internal Field Service Engineers to deliver remote technical support for issues and breakdowns.
