- Experience in one or more of the following: React, Node.js, Python, Laravel, TypeScript, Docker, Linux server administration, cloud hosting platforms, headless WordPress, GraphQL, FastAPI or Express.js, SQL optimisation
- Experience with or strong interest in AI-assisted software development, including RAG, MCP, AI agents, prompt engineering, AI platforms, and workflow automation
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Organised, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Right to work in the United Kingdom
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery of bespoke WordPress websites and applications
- Develop custom WordPress themes, plugins and Gutenberg blocks
- Produce clean, maintainable and well-documented code
- Build responsive, accessible and high-performance websites
- Work collaboratively with designers, project managers and clients
- Mentor and support junior developers
- Lead technical discussions and code reviews
- Attend client meetings and translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows through automation and AI
- Contribute to architectural decisions and technical best practice
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends
- Help establish development standards
- Present technical solutions in a clear, non-technical manner
- Manage priorities across multiple projects
- Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
