Remote Senior AWS DevOps Engineer

Salary: £69,000 - 109,000 per year

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in deployment and runtime maintenance of containerised microservice applications and VPCs across multiple regions.
• Experience designing infrastructure and deployment plans suited to rapid growth.
• Experience working with issues in data protection and sovereignty.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Experience with monitoring metrics, output, and performance.
• Experience of working solely on projects with a pragmatic approach.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the current platform delivers and matches our ambitious growth plans.
• Review existing infrastructure and processes and propose improvements.
• Optimise performance and speed.
• Manage component end-of-life.
• Conduct vendor reviews and management.
• Continue improving our CI/CD pipelines.
• Work closely with Product and Architecture teams to help design the next generation of outward-facing products.
• Develop plans for scaling.
• Work closely with the CISO to implement InfoSec policy.

We are a fast-growing start-up/scale-up financial services company hiring a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer. You will work closely with developers, product managers, QA, and stakeholders to help us scale, modernise, and grow our platform across the UK, Europe, and the US. This is a remote role with occasional meet-ups in Cambridge, London, or Manchester. The salary is circa £80,000 to £100,000. We are looking for someone with experience in AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and Terraform to help shape the next generation of our platform.
