Salary: £70,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements

• Strong commercial Python engineering experience
• Experience working within scalable and complex software environments
• Good understanding of microservices and distributed systems
• Experience designing and developing APIs
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS
• Strong understanding of modern engineering tooling and practices
• Previous mentoring or technical leadership exposure would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend functionality using Python
• Contribute to scalable microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs
• Drive best practice across testing, CI/CD, and code quality
• Collaborate closely with Product, QA, and Engineering teams
• Support and mentor other developers where required
• Contribute to technical planning and solution design
• Assist with automation, deployment, and platform scalability
