2nd Line Support Engineer

Salary: £32,000 - 34,000 per year

Requirements

• Previous experience in an IT Managed Service Provider (MSP)
• Strong 2nd Line support skills, with aspirations to grow into 3rd Line support
• Proficiency in Office 365, Exchange, and SharePoint
• Experience with Azure Active Directory and Microsoft Intune
• Familiarity with Windows Servers (2019, 2016, 2012, 2008)
• Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Routing
• Experience with VPN and Remote Desktop Services
• Understanding of firewall and router configurations
• Strong communication skills for customer interactions

Responsibilities

• Handle second line support requests related to workstations, servers, and networks
• Provide technical support for Microsofts core business applications and operating systems
• Support WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
• Implement and support remote access solutions, such as VPN and Remote Desktop Services
• Monitor remote monitoring and management system alerts and respond through service tickets
• Communicate with customers regarding incident progress and service updates
• Collaborate with the Service Desk Manager to route requests efficiently
• Escalate service requests requiring 3rd line and field service engineer support
