Requirements
- Strong experience with AWS platform engineering, including EC2, IAM, VPC, Route 53, Elastic Load Balancing, EBS, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config, Systems Manager, Secrets Manager, KMS, and Security Groups.
- Strong Linux administration experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Amazon Linux, or Ubuntu.
- Experience with infrastructure as code and automation using Terraform, Ansible, Git, YAML, and shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience installing, configuring, and administering Sonatype Nexus Repository Manager.
- Experience with repository administration, blob store management, cleanup policies, SSL/TLS configuration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and user and role administration.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration with platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with security best practices, including least-privilege access, encryption, hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
- Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and operational support skills.
- Desirable experience with Docker, Kubernetes, HashiCorp Vault, Prometheus, Grafana, Sonatype Lifecycle (IQ Server), Apache or NGINX reverse proxy, and enterprise identity integration such as LDAP, Active Directory, or SAML.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, configure, and support a highly available Sonatype Nexus Repository Manager on AWS EC2 infrastructure.
- Provision and manage Linux-based AWS infrastructure, including networking, load balancing, storage, and DNS.
- Install, configure, and maintain Nexus repositories, blob stores, certificates, authentication integration, and retention policies.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, server configuration, Nexus deployment, backup procedures, patching, and disaster recovery processes.
- Implement AWS and Linux security best practices, including IAM, encryption, access controls, hardening, and audit logging.
- Set up and maintain monitoring, alerting, logging, capacity planning, incident response, and root cause analysis.
- Support CI/CD integration for artefact publishing, dependency proxying, Docker image repositories, build optimisation, and secure software supply chain practices.
- Perform upgrades, patching, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation across the platform.
