Environmental Technical Lead (LSP) - RemoteLocation: Fully Remote (Massachusetts-based projects) Salary: $130,000-$180,000 Base Salary + BenefitsAbout the OpportunityA growing multidisciplinary consulting organization is seeking an experienced Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP) to provide technical leadership for complex site assessment and remediation projects across the Commonwealth.

This is a highly visible, senior-level role offering the opportunity to lead technical strategy, serve as LSP of Record, mentor project teams, and support a diverse portfolio of public and private-sector environmental projects.The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise with the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (MCP), strong project management capabilities, and a proven track record managing remediation programs from investigation through closure.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the LSP of Record for environmental investigation and remediation projects throughout Massachusetts.Provide technical leadership and regulatory guidance under the Massachusetts Contingency Plan (310 CMR 40.0000).Review, prepare, and certifyMCPsubmittals, including:IRA and RAM Plans, Status Reports, and Completion ReportsPhase I-V ReportsPermanent Solution StatementsActivity and Use Limitations (AULs)Direct and oversee:Site characterization and subsurface investigationsSoil, groundwater, and vapor intrusion assessmentsEnvironmental due diligence evaluationsHuman health and ecological risk assessmentsRemedial design and implementation programsDevelop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical proposals.Interface with regulatory agencies, clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.Mentor and support environmental scientists, geologists, and engineers.Contribute to client development efforts and help expand environmental service offerings.Required QualificationsActive Massachusetts Licensed Site Professional (LSP) certification.Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline.15+ years of environmental consulting, remediation, regulatory, or related experience.5+ years serving as an LSP of Record on Massachusetts projects.Demonstrated expertise with MCP regulations and MassDEP reporting requirements.Strong technical knowledge of:Site investigation methodologiesEnvironmental sampling programsRisk assessment and exposure evaluationsRemediation technologies and corrective actionsEnvironmental compliance and regulatory strategyProven project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, and client management.Excellent technical writing, communication, and leadership skills.Ability to travel periodically to project sites and client meetings within Massachusetts.Why Consider This Role?100% remote position with significant flexibility.Opportunity to serve as a senior technical authority and strategic leader.Diverse project portfolio across industrial, commercial, and redevelopment sites.Strong emphasis on technical excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.Competitive compensation package with bonus potential and comprehensive benefits.Opportunity to influence project strategy, mentor staff, and help shape the future direction of an established environmental practice.This opportunity is well-suited for an experienced LSP looking to leverage their technical expertise in a leadership role while maintaining flexibility through a fully remote work arrangement.
