Electronic Trading Java Developer

Salary: £59,000 - 99,000 per year

Requirements

• Excellent core Java skills, preferably on Unix/Linux
• Experience in high performance and/or low latency development
• Familiarity with KDB, Q, Python, and shell scripting in a Unix/Linux environment
• Experience building and delivering software using modern patterns for continuous delivery
• A sound grounding in the principles of computer engineering, preferably educated to bachelors degree level in a technical discipline or with equivalent qualification or work experience
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex requirements clearly and effectively

Responsibilities

• Implement and deliver new business functions and non-functional platform improvements
• Develop functional and non-functional requirements in close collaboration with other engineers, quants, and traders
• Participate fully in code reviews as both an author and a reviewer
• Actively improve team software development processes
