Project Manager (Software)

Salary: £40,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager, ideally within software solutions
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other project management frameworks
• Experience using tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear, client-friendly language
• Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail
• Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master preferred

Responsibilities

• We plan, execute, and deliver software development projects on time, within scope, and within budget
• We define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
• We develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets
• We track sprint progress and remove delivery blockers
• We ensure user stories are clear, actionable, and appropriately sized
• We monitor project progress and adjust plans to meet changing priorities
• We ensure project documentation is complete and up to date
• We report on project status, milestones, and KPIs to senior management
• We liaise and coordinate with the development team
• We work with stakeholders to prioritise work aligned with company goals
• We ensure projects remain on schedule and within agreed scope
• We support prioritisation decisions based on business impact
• We facilitate communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
• We provide clear progress updates to leadership and stakeholders
• We monitor key delivery metrics such as velocity and cycle time
• We identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
• We support continuous improvement of project management processes
• We identify key stakeholders and build strong relationships
• We engage with clients at all levels, including project managers, SMEs, and senior stakeholders
• We manage the implementation lifecycle with the client
• We ensure client needs are met at all stages of the process, implementation, and delivery
