Requirements
- Strong experience with aviation datalink systems
- Proven background in systems engineering or technical investigation within aviation environments
- Experience working in multi-stakeholder aviation ecosystems
- Ability to produce structured technical outputs and reports
- Must be willing and eligible to go through the SC clearance process
Responsibilities
- Act as SME for datalink systems including ADS-C, CPDLC, and VDL Mode 2
- Lead and support technical and operational investigations
- Conduct root cause analysis of datalink incidents and performance issues
- Engage with key stakeholders including ANSPs, communication service providers, and aircraft manufacturers
- Validate corrective actions and remediation strategies
- Contribute to technical governance, reporting, and documentation

We are supporting a major, multi-year European aviation programme and are looking for a Senior Datalink Technical Expert to lead high-impact technical investigations and stakeholder engagement across critical datalink services. This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of aviation communications, contributing to operational performance and safety across an international ecosystem. The role is primarily remote and UK-based, with around five trips per year across Europe and occasional travel to the US. The assignment runs for three years and is inside IR35.
