Salary: £38,000 - 68,000 per year

Requirements

• We are seeking a Lead Solution Architect with a proven track record of delivering high-level designs within short timeframe engagements.
• We require extensive experience designing architectures that handle disparate data sources, formats, and legacy/modern systems, with a focus on ETL pipelines and normalising to a single data pattern.
• We need hands-on experience preparing functional and technical requirements for UK public sector procurement.
• We value exceptional communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between policy/sustainability leads, technical architects, and delivery engineers.
• We consider experience working with central government departments or public sector agencies desirable.
• We consider exposure to environmental data desirable.
• Active SC Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• We lead the creation of a solution high-level design to support key environmental and sustainability initiatives.
• We work closely with domain specialists, enterprise architects, and engineering teams to establish a robust architecture to resolve complex data ingestion challenges.
• We facilitate discovery sessions to shape, define, and produce a comprehensive solution design aligned with departmental objectives.
• We collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to capture, validate, and formalise high-level requirements into procurement-ready documentation.
• We structure technical specifications and architectural boundaries to enable seamless market engagement for future contract implementation.
• We architect a target data pattern capable of ingesting, transforming, and standardising complex multi-source datasets.

We are offering a hybrid contract role with an initial duration of 5 weeks and the potential for extension, with a day rate of £650.00. We are recruiting for one of our Government Clients and working inside IR35. This role supports environmental and sustainability initiatives and involves collaboration with domain specialists, enterprise architects, and engineering teams to prepare a solution for market tender.
