Platform Engineering Consultant

Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements

• Deep, hands-on production experience with Kubernetes, including troubleshooting, networking, and storage
• Strong infrastructure-as-code mindset with experience using Terraform and Ansible
• Solid experience with Linux systems, CI/CD, and observability tools
• Self-directed, remote-ready problem solver with strong client management and communication skills
• Nice to have: experience with Helm, Prometheus/Grafana, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
• Nice to have: experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure primitives
• Nice to have: proficiency in Python, Bash, Go, or Rust
• Bonus: experience with security and RBAC
• Bonus: active open-source contributions

• Design, deploy, and support production infrastructure as a client-facing Platform/SRE consultant
• Respond to incidents and help maintain system reliability
• Balance technical tradeoffs with client deadlines
• Mentor others as the role evolves
