Remote Quality Assurance Engineer

Salary: £54,000 - 94,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for someone educated to degree level in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a similar subject, or with equivalent experience
• We want someone with 2 years experience in a software testing or quality assurance role
• We need strong working knowledge of software methodologies, tools and processes
• We need experience writing clear, concise and comprehensive test cases
• We want experience working in an agile/scrum environment

Responsibilities

• Identify and raise incidents in a timely manner
• Liaise with internal teams including developers and product managers to identify system requirements and help plan new features
• Provide QA support for existing customers by reviewing issues and ensuring timely resolution
• Provide QA support on new project implementations
• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritise, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
• Liaise with internal teams to identify system requirements
• Monitor debugging process results
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
