Salary: £61,000 - 101,000 per year

Requirements

• We require 5+ years of relevant Ruby on Rails experience.

• We require strong SQL skills, including confidence writing and understanding queries.
• We require testing experience across unit, integration and end-to-end levels.
• We require experience contributing to architecture and technical direction.

• We require daily, practical use of AI coding tools.
• We require strong written and verbal communication skills.
• We prefer experience with Stimulus, Turbo or Hotwire.
• We prefer event-driven architecture experience.
• We prefer familiarity with security and compliance domains.
• We prefer familiarity with ISO 27001 or similar standards.
• We prefer experience with agentic workflows, automation design or evals.
• We prefer personal projects that demonstrate thoughtful AI use.

Responsibilities

• We build and maintain product features in Ruby on Rails.
• We contribute to architecture decisions and help evolve the platform over time.
• We work confidently across legacy and modern parts of the application.
• We improve performance, maintainability and developer productivity.
• We support the team with code review, pairing, technical planning and mentoring.
• We help define and improve AI-augmented engineering workflows.
• We contribute ideas, not just delivery.
• We collaborate closely with the Tech Lead to deliver roadmap work.
• We help shape how AI is used across engineering in a practical, measurable way.
