OUR MISSION Prisms VR is a San Francisco-based team of educators, game developers, and engineers transforming K12 STEM education through experiential real-world problem-solving powered by the next generation of spatial computing.

We utilize immersive Virtual Reality (VR) to engage, inspire, and open pathways to creative problem-solving to improve student engagement and proficiencies in Math and Science across our country and beyond.

THE JOB Junior Content Developer JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a highly skilled content and curriculum designer to join our team and play a crucial role in the development of math and science content, both in VR and in accompanying materials.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for experiential education, learning design, and problem-solving, and the ability to think spatially, systemically, and creatively when designing learning experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design new math and science modules in VR :Research, design, scope, and script standards-aligned learning experiencesLead the production of multiple modules simultaneously Review and refine existing content:Fully own the content of existing modulesMake recommendations for changes as neededDevelop, refine, and update curriculum materialsCreate and adjust multimedia materials for teacher and student useAdvocate for content integrity, module quality, and continuous improvementFully own and advocate for the accuracy, depth, and rigor of each moduleEmbrace the iterative nature of high-quality content developmentCollaborate with cross-functional teamsWork closely with content developers, engineers, artists, and instructional specialists to ensure clarity and alignmentCommunicate frequently and effectivelyREQUIREMENTS Commitment to transforming and reimagining STEM education Bachelor's degree in a STEM fieldProven experience in instructional and/or interactive designWritten and verbal communication skills, with a talent for explaining complex mathematical and scientific concepts clearly and conciselyAbility to think spatially and creatively about STEM conceptsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExceptional time management skills; ability to prioritize and handle concurrent projectsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to flexibly meet across time zones (EST and PST)NICE TO HAVES A background in engineeringFamiliarity with VR hardware and software, such as Pico, Quest, or similar platformsExperience with project management tools such as JiraADDITIONAL INFORMATION Full-time role, fully remote or hybrid (if based near our San Francisco office)Competitive salary commensurate with experienceEQUAL OPPORTUNITY WORKPLACE Prisms is an equal-opportunity employer committed to providing an equitable and inclusive work environment that ensures that all applicants and team members are treated with dignity and respect.
