Remote Senior/Lead Backend Engineer

Salary: £55,000 - 75,000 per year

Requirements

• Demonstrable excellence as a Software Engineer
• Ideally 2+ years of experience
• Proven ability to define and build complex systems
• Hands-on experience shipping highly available production systems
• Clear communication
• Bonus: experience with infrastructure as code, such as AWS CDK

Responsibilities

• Work closely within our product team to build the core digital infrastructure for a next-generation energy company
• Engineer backend infrastructure
• Construct a real-time digital twin of our renewable generation and customer demand
• Develop messaging interfaces with our third-party providers
• Build high-volume pipelines for processing customer energy consumption
• Build the backend of our world-class energy app
• Think on your feet, adapt to new business needs, take ownership of projects, and drive change
