Remote Frontend Engineer - React

Salary: £43,000 - 83,000 per year

Requirements

• We require 3+ years of professional experience building scalable and reliable web applications.
• We are looking for experience with React or another comparable JavaScript framework.
• We need a deep understanding of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• We value unit testing and debugging skills.
• You should be independent, self-managed, and motivated.
• You should have a good command of the English language.
• You must be based in the UK and eligible to work in the UK, as we do not sponsor employment visa or permit processes for this opportunity.
• It would be a plus to have experience with Python, Django, AWS or another cloud provider, any RDBMS, Elasticsearch, or Redis.
• A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• We build scalable web applications using open-source tools and technologies.
• We use REST and GraphQL APIs.
• We work independently while communicating progress to other team members.
• We lead technical planning, user story creation, technical acceptance creation, and coding.
• We identify and correct complex bugs and problems.
• We plan technical architectures that minimize or eliminate performance problems, complexity, or solution fragility.
• We implement front ends based on mock-ups and, in some cases, visual design.
• We develop front ends using the latest responsive design development techniques.
