Senior Solutions Engineer

Salary: £57,000 - 97,000 per year

Requirements

• We require 6+ years of related industry experience.
• We require a BS/BA or equivalent work experience.
• We value familiarity or experience with F5 technology or similar industry solution deployment.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.
• We require fluent verbal and written English skills.
• We require knowledge and experience with data centers, virtualization, and cloud computing environments.
• We require experience with service provider mobile network architectures and protocols, especially those defined by 3GPP.
• We require knowledge of service providers IP/MPLS network infrastructures and SD-WAN technologies.
• We require experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and SCM tools, as well as container orchestration solutions such as Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• We require experience in the RFx process.
• We require knowledge of network and application security, including L3-L7 security.

Responsibilities

• We support the sales team with technical skills and provide technical knowledge around F5 solutions to our customers.
• We help achieve the allocated sales target by selling relevant F5 solutions and products to customer business needs in partnership with the Sales Account Managers team.
• We act as trusted advisers by understanding customer technical and business challenges and proposing effective solutions.
• We articulate F5 product strategy, messaging, and positioning, and communicate our value proposition and solutions for customer business objectives.
• We provide technical expertise through sales presentations, solution designs, solution demonstrations, and proof of concepts in person, virtually, and with whiteboards.
• We determine opportunity viability and map out organizational structure.
• We drive the sales process with the Account Managers team by identifying the Technical Decision Maker and securing technical validation, support, and sponsorship.
• We consistently provide world-class customer service throughout the customer life cycle.
• We work collaboratively with internal technical and sales resources, share best practices, and exchange expertise as needed.
