Senior Network Engineer

Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer with experience in a large or complex enterprise environment.
• We need strong hands-on experience with Fortinet platforms, including FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiManager, FortiAuthenticator, FortiNAC, and FortiSASE.
• We require cloud and hybrid networking experience, including Azure and remote access VPNs.
• We need experience in enterprise networking, including Cisco switching and routing, LAN, WAN, and data-centre networking.
• We are looking for experience in incident, problem, change, and capacity management.
• We need experience with service assurance and technical documentation.
• We are looking for someone with a confident, proactive, and solution-focused attitude.
• We need a candidate who can act as a senior technical authority and mentor within the Network team.
• We value strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across the organisation.
• We require someone who can help ensure services comply with organisational security policies and requirements.

Responsibilities

• We design, deliver, and secure resilient enterprise and hybrid network services.
• We act as a senior technical authority within our Network team.
• We mentor and support other team members.
• We communicate effectively across the organisation to support service compliance with security policies and requirements.
• We manage network-related incidents, problems, changes, and capacity planning.
• We maintain service assurance across our network environment.
• We produce and maintain clear technical documentation.
• We support and improve Fortinet-based security and networking platforms.
• We work across cloud, hybrid, and enterprise network environments, including Azure, VPNs, Cisco switching and routing, LAN, WAN, and data-centre networking.
