Remote QA Engineer Platform Engineering

Salary: £30,000 - 60,000 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for a proven QA/Test Engineer with experience in both application and infrastructure testing.
• We need strong experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or similar.
• We require a solid understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools and processes.
• We need experience validating Infrastructure as Code changes such as Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation.
• We require proficiency working with CI/CD pipelines, particularly in OpenShift or similar containerized environments.
• We need the ability to define and implement quality gates in CI/CD workflows.
• We require familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including security considerations in testing and release processes.
• We need strong scripting skills such as Python, Bash, Groovy or similar to support test automation and pipeline integration.
• We are looking for someone comfortable working in agile, fast-paced development environments.
• We require excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with container orchestration and monitoring tools such as Kubernetes, Prometheus and Grafana is desirable.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP in a QA/testing capacity is desirable.
• Knowledge of static code analysis tools and vulnerability scanners such as SonarQube and Snyk is desirable.
• ISTQB certification or equivalent is a plus.
• You must currently hold SC Clearance for immediate start.

We are hiring a QA Engineer/Analyst for our Platform Engineering team on a 12-month contract, working remotely with occasional travel. This is an inside IR35 role with a day rate of £550 to £650. The role supports critical systems and platforms used in national defence operations, and we need someone who can start immediately and already holds SC Clearance.
