Requirements

  • We are looking for a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Geographic Data Science, or a related analytical discipline.
  • We require strong experience using R and/or SQL for data analysis, cleaning, and statistical workflows.
  • We need experience working with large datasets and cloud-based data warehouse platforms such as Google BigQuery.
  • We require excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
  • We are looking for strong attention to detail and a commitment to data quality.
  • We need excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • We require strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • We are looking for confident communication skills and the ability to work professionally with clients and stakeholders.
  • We need the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • A masters degree in a relevant subject is desirable.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems is desirable.
  • Experience building automated workflows and data pipelines is desirable.
  • Experience managing or supervising team members is desirable.
  • Knowledge of carbon accounting or domestic retrofit energy efficiency measures is desirable.
  • Experience producing dashboards or data visualisations using RStudio or similar tools is desirable.
  • We require candidates who have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • We require willingness to comply with GDPR, data-security protocols, and confidential data handling policies.

Responsibilities

  • We calculate carbon emissions reductions and social value impacts from domestic retrofit and renewable energy measures.
  • We analyse, clean, validate, and interpret large datasets using R, SQL, and data warehouse platforms such as Google BigQuery.
  • We design and maintain automated data pipelines and processing workflows.
  • We prepare and validate submission-ready data files with strong attention to compliance and audit readiness.
  • We produce dashboards, visualisations, and reporting outputs for internal and external stakeholders.
  • We develop and maintain secure client-facing data interfaces and portals.
  • We work collaboratively with third-party data providers and delivery partners to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  • We support operational reporting, performance analysis, and strategic planning activities.
  • We manage and support direct-report team members.
  • We take on reasonable tasks outside our day-to-day responsibilities when needed to support the company.

We are PNZ Carbon, a UK-based carbon project developer focused on generating high-integrity carbon credits from domestic retrofit installations. We are growing our Delivery and Data team in Birchwood, Warrington, and this is a full-time permanent hybrid role based at our Warrington head office. We offer a competitive salary of £30,000 to £40,000 depending on experience and qualifications, a bonus scheme, 25 days annual leave plus Birthday Leave, a company pension scheme, a Health Cash Plan, and ongoing development and progression opportunities. Our hybrid working model includes office-based days Monday to Wednesday and flexible remote working Thursday and Friday.
