AWS Support Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements

• We require 3+ years of experience in AWS/cloud infrastructure support.
• We require strong experience troubleshooting production environments.
• We require experience working in managed services and SLA-driven support environments.
• We require incident response and service restoration experience.
• We require solid Linux administration skills.
• We require good networking fundamentals.
• We require cloud security awareness and understanding of IAM governance.
• We require strong communication skills.
• We require experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, ElastiCache, and VPC.
• We require experience with infrastructure as code and automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible.
• We require familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, and PRTG.

Responsibilities

• We provide day-to-day support for our AWS platform.
• We manage incidents and lead service restoration activities.
• We perform root cause analysis for platform and service issues.
• We maintain AWS infrastructure and support operational stability.
• We carry out patching, upgrades, and certificate renewals.
• We manage capacity, backup operations, and monitoring improvements.
• We create and maintain operational documentation and runbooks.
• We execute releases and changes in line with operational controls.
• We support IAM governance and security compliance activities.
• We take ownership of services and participate in on-call support.
