Salary: £41,000 - 81,000 per year
Requirements
- We need proven leadership in enterprise network architecture, operations, and service design, ideally across complex, multi-location, and multi-OpCo environments.
- We need expertise in high-speed WAN, data centre, and cloud connectivity, including 10Gbps+ links, cross-connects, and Smart Wires.
- We need strong background in secure remote access, including VPN, SSE, cloud security, and firewall technologies such as NGFW and HA configurations.
- We need hands-on experience with LAN and Wi-Fi design, deployment, and troubleshooting at scale.
- We need a track record of defining and managing SLAs for latency, packet loss, availability, incident response, and service restoration.
- We need experience managing vendor partnerships, contract negotiations, and service escalations.
- We need excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value.
- We need experience working in regulated environments and aligning with compliance requirements.
- We value a continuous improvement mindset and an ability to embrace technological evolution and process optimisation.
Responsibilities
- We own all facets of the network service, including connectivity services, next generation firewall, LAN and Wi-Fi, cloud secure edge, and break-fix support.
- We architect and manage resilient, low-latency connectivity between our locations, cloud environments, SaaS applications, and other operating companies.
- We ensure reliable and secure access to our application landscape, including SaaS, cloud-hosted, and on-premises solutions.
- We provide seamless VPN and secure remote access for users and applications to support flexible and distributed working.
- We enable and govern secure, policy-compliant connectivity between our applications and those of other operating companies.
- We define, monitor, and improve service levels for availability, latency, packet loss, incident response, and resolution times.
- We oversee next generation firewall deployments, SSE and cloud security services, and policy-based access controls.
- We lead network incident response, prioritisation, escalation, and restoration activities, working closely with engineering and service desk teams.
- We manage third-party service providers, technology partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver on service commitments and drive innovation.
- We review and update the Network Service Design Document as business needs, technology, and regulatory obligations evolve.
