Remote Senior Systems Engineer

Salary: £29,000 - 69,000 per year

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience working in a pre-sales role in IT.
• Prior experience using or deploying Veeam solutions.
• VMCE certification is highly advantageous; we also support VMCE and VMCA certification once in the role.
• Deep experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V and Nutanix AHV, plus related technologies such as SANs, hyper-converged storage and networking.
• Working knowledge of public cloud platforms including Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• Working knowledge of key SaaS platforms such as Microsoft Office 365 and Salesforce.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable presenting to groups, both remotely and in person.
• Available to travel across the UK and Ireland.
• Self-starter with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where roles and responsibilities change quickly.

Responsibilities

• Engage with end users and our partners to translate business objectives into technical requirements.
• Create content and deliver presentations and demonstrations to decision makers, both virtually and in person.
• Manage the technical evaluation stage of the sales process as a main technical advisor for our solutions.
• Provide pre-sales assistance to customers evaluating our software, including POCs, hands-on labs and bootcamps.
• Record and maintain accurate customer and partner engagement details in our CRM platform, Salesforce.
• Work closely with our value-added resellers on training, joint meetings and relationship building.
• Support lead generation activities such as events, webinars and user groups.
• Collaborate with our Product Development and Engineering teams to provide customer feedback.
• Participate in cross-functional strategic initiatives that improve efficiency and add long-term value, such as TCO and ROI calculators and hands-on labs.
