Salary: £40,000 - 40,000 per year
Requirements
- We require current or very recent experience within the education sector, including primary schools, secondary schools, academies, universities, or colleges.
- We require a minimum of 4 years hands-on experience in a senior IT support or systems engineer role within education.
- We need the ability to diagnose and resolve server failures independently, including operating systems, hardware, RAID, and virtualisation.
- We require strong Active Directory and Group Policy experience, including real-world deployment and troubleshooting.
- We need hands-on cyber security experience, including incident response, endpoint protection, web filtering, and Cyber Essentials.
- We require confident Microsoft 365 administration experience across the full suite.
- We need solid networking knowledge, including VLANs, managed switches, wireless, firewalls, and routing.
- We require experience with MDM platforms such as Mosyle, Jamf, Intune, or equivalent.
- We need the ability to work completely independently and resolve complex technical problems without supervision.
- We require a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- We need strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly and calmly.
- We require availability to work in a hybrid model across Liverpool and Merseyside, with onsite work as part of the role.
Responsibilities
- We deliver contracted onsite IT support across our school client base, with a minimum of three days per week on client sites.
- We provide support from our primary contracted base in Liverpool City Centre and travel regularly across Liverpool and Merseyside.
- We spend the remaining two days per week on remote support, reactive client visits, and project delivery.
- We support server, infrastructure, networking, cyber security, Microsoft 365, helpdesk, and Apple device environments.
- We resolve technical issues independently and provide clear, calm support to clients, including school leadership teams.

We are an IT firm recruiting for an IT Engineer (Support) to work in a hybrid model across Liverpool and Merseyside.
